Academic Information
Academic Requirements
- Have completed a minimum of 2 semesters study in home university
- Have GPA 2.5 out of 4 (or equivalent)
English Language Requirements
For non-native English speaker: TOEFL-iBT 61/TOEFL-ITP 500 or IELTS overall 5.5 and we also accept CEFR score as “B2” or equivalent.
Interview
Students who do not meet the English requirements need an interview after we received their application documents. If they pass the interview, we may ask them to take some language classes along with their core courses.

1 semester or 1 full year

Course Registration
Course instruction and timetable will be sent via email after students have been accepted.
Academic Transcript
Transcript will be sent directly to home university 2 weeks after the results are released.

Application by Students
Contact our Study Abroad coordinator and ask for student exchange application form at ia@payap.ac.th Complete the application and send along with the required documents (copy of passport, copy of academic transcript in English, proof of English proficiency for non-native speaker) to the address indicated above before or on the application deadline.
Approval Process
The Acceptance letter and Visa letter will be issued 3-4 weeks after receiving the application.
Student Visa
The visa letter from Payap University is required before applying for a visa. Students need to apply for a Non-Immigrant ED Visa at the Thai embassy or consulate in their home country.
Insurance
Covid-19 insurance which covers for a minimum $100,000 during the time in Thailand is required to be allowed into the country. Students have to purchase and submit with a valid visa to the Thai Embassy or consulate in order to obtain a certificate of entry (COE) before leaving. Please check the update travel regulations at https://www.thaiembassy.org/ (choose country of origin)
Life and accident insurance is a must.
Accommodation and Facilities
Application Deadline
2 weeks earlier before a semester starts.
Accommodations
On-campus: Living on-campus at Omega and Alpha Dormitory (https://homes.payap.ac.th/) is one way to enjoy university life. All rooms are on sharing basis. Students have to complete the residence application form and pay a deposit to secure the room.
Off-campus: Inbound Exchange Students are not allow to live outside campus.

Arrival and Orientation
Airport Pickup
Payap University offers arrival students with i(take)Care48 project which arrival students will have a mentor for the first 48 hours of arrival (Airport pick-up). (Fee: 1,000 baht/student)
Please notify the expected arrival date and time at least a week in advance.
Orientation Program
- Exchange students need to arrive at least a week before the first day of each semester.
- Exchange students must attend an orientation day arrange by International Affairs.
